Chickenhawk by Robert Mason

Just rereading this for the third time (hence my sudden reappearance :razz :) and I just thought I'd take a moment out to recommend it to any heli pilots, or anyone for that matter. It is a very very good book.

A good book indeed, I found it at a library bargain bin sale.

Grabbed an eBook copy of it last night and got to about chapter 5 before hitting the hay, definitely liking the book so far.

Is that the book where he talks about getting a Huey sliding on the grass for a rolling take off then taking some left pedal out of it to get some more power to the main rotor to get it off the ground?

Just read that part about 30 minutes ago, yes.

EDIT - Finished the book, a very enjoyable read and will definitely be rereading it again in the future someday. Thanks for the recommendation.
