Chickenhawk by Robert Mason
Just rereading this for the third time (hence my sudden reappearance :razz
and I just thought I'd take a moment out to recommend it to any heli pilots, or anyone for that matter. It is a very very good book.

Grabbed an eBook copy of it last night and got to about chapter 5 before hitting the hay, definitely liking the book so far.

Is that the book where he talks about getting a Huey sliding on the grass for a rolling take off then taking some left pedal out of it to get some more power to the main rotor to get it off the ground?

EDIT - Finished the book, a very enjoyable read and will definitely be rereading it again in the future someday. Thanks for the recommendation.
