I think that with some adjustments we can have a happy medium.

1. Speed loss in sharp turns; this spices up dogfights from tail-chasing all day.
2. Removal of iron bombs from "fighter" airframes... realistic F-15, Fulcrum, "That Chinese Saber Knockoff".
3. Reduction of fighter cannon power against heavy armor and extremely soft vehicles (boats).
4. Require landing to rearm/repair.
5. Drastically improved missile/AAV lethality, either through airplane limitations or missile improvements.
6. Flamethrowers.

Those 20mmm cannons are pretty powerful, and even tanks would take damage getting hit from overhead where there armor is thinner. After all, the cannon on the Cobra is a 20mm and it destroys tank quite well IRL.

Tanks will not take damage from a 20mm cannon, even from the top armor and in real life. And i pretty much can say the cobra's 20mm has never destroyed a tank. The thought of a cobra successfully getting above a tank with in range and not getting blown out of the sky by a manpad would be new to me.

Heres a suggestion for Jet realism, when planes make turns in the game they lose a little bit of energy/speed. Though they can never turn so much to the point of where they start to stall. In the game make the planes continue to lose energy even to the point of stalling/falling this will make air combat much more realistic.
