i am not a reality police but if i download a game which is called project reality i should think it is close to the real life. of course it is a game but battlefield heroes could bring up a lasertank which destroy everything and they could they"it is only a game" but it wouldnt fit in the game.(its only a example)
i am not against your work but this map doesnt fit in the project reality gameplay this was that what i mean. I dont know if i am alone with this opinion but finally the devs will decide.

I don't know where you got me being angry, i don't think realistic scenarios are the down right POINT of PR, I think its all about the teamwork, and quite frankly, if you can get a good squad up you just might be able to have fun on this level. Beach invasions might not be ultra realistic, but consider the story behind this. This could be a very quick tought out and neccisery insertion that USMC needs to achive in order to prevent bloodier battles? This very well CAN happen in "realistic" world of PR...

Basically, if you put a good story behind it the insertion seems very reasonable.

I've seen this argument before and I just dont think it holds that much water. Sure no one would ever plan or desire to pull of an amphibious assault without proper support, but PR is set in the middle of a global conflict which would most likely be of a total war type, hugely powerful focres coming together in battle.

In this scenario you're not always going to have available the perfect forces to carry out your missions, fighting a global war would stretch any country's military, and you can't say what would or would not be available to perform a certain operation which may be judged essential to the war. Its not like the current day fighting limited wars against underequiped enemies where they can't really effect troop deployments and we can, to a certain extent, wait until the best equipment become avaiable.

The carriers carrying the airsupport might have been sunk, the under-proeected troop ships may need to be disembarked as keep troops on them is even more risky than having them fight ashore, aircraft tied up in preventing an unexpceted breakthrough elsewhere, a landing needed to releive the pressure etc etc.

I'm not saying this kind of thing would be likely, a landing without sufficent air support probably never going to happen, but my point is a huge multinational war can exert pressures so that operations are fought in less than ideal circumstances and this could be one of those moments when desperate times have called for desperate measures.

its true but not with a carrier! and than the chinese or whatever for a faction wouldnt know that a quickforce will storm the beach so they dont would put tank traps etc. on the beach. May its a good map but not for this mod.

If you apply the same logic to most PR maps, then how often will you have two armies with major bases maximum 4km apart? Though I agree this map would be better as maybe an assualt across a river from an FOB, and without the tank traps. its just too WW2 Normandy landings fro me from what Ive seen.

Er, you don't start building bunkers when you know where someone is going to attack from then hope the concrete dries in the period between which the assault force disembarks and makes land. Look at the Atlantic wall for instance.

My apolagies for not saying the new layout, the carrier has nothing to do with the map right now, the assault is from a nearby island, you can see it is left of the carrier.

I really don't know, I can release it after some acouple touch ups but this map is really not suited for PR.
