<stupid>Maybe switch the pistol and the rifle. Can it be done so the default weapon is the pistol and the carbine is some obscure slot? Newbies will hate the kit and suicide/switch/disconnect.</stupid>
<not-as-stupid>Make the kit cost score points and respawn time when selected (with a text message telling you on each spawn). Make sure proper use of the kit provides enough points/time to negate the penalties.</not-as-stupid>
- Forward Observer ("Fwd Obsrvr" or "Observer") - One of their main abilities
- UWS (Unconventional Warfare Soldier) - Soldiers almost exclusively use their guns (brains first, of course), but Spec Ops use explosives, grapples, laser markers, etc.
- Noncombat - I've heard that Spec Ops are trained for combat if needed but their missions involve avoiding combat... So I've heard.
- Team Support - Most of their roles support the team
- Never Engage With Battle (listed as NEWB)
- Demolition, Observation, and Repelling Kit (listed as DORK) (repel as in moving down a rope)
- Demolition and Unconventional Combat Kit (listed as DUCK)
- Disconnect (You'd select "Disconnect" from the kit menu) - You spawn/equip with a large minigun (0 damage) selected, and if you don't switch to another weapon in 10sec you are kicked/killed. If possible, give the message "Read the fine manual!" 1 sec before kicking/killing. Or better yet, if the script can kick them, it says "Disconnecting as requested".
