for the end of the battle, the most effective way both poly and looks that I know of is to basically make a cone, so what you have is

at the end, if that makes any seance hehe, but much deeper of course and with some edges too. Then the texture with a shadow will make it look like a tube :D

Rhino: I makes perfect sense. What poly limit would recomend for the whole mesh? That is Weapon+(mount?)and ammo bag.

For the 1st person mesh I would think around 4,000 polys, 5,000 tops if it included really high detailed sights. For 3rd person I would say 2,000, 3,000 polys? :)

so for now just worrie about the 1p mesh and then later on you can cut the polies down for the 3p and LODs etc :)

id put this on a stryker, to give it some decency, that thing is a driving casket.

I really hope that the DEVs take this seriously and would consider putting this on the humvee or stryker.

Right now, I'm tweaking my PRSP files to create a pseudo-Mk. 19, using the .50 cal as a placeholder model.

If this works, I'll post an update and see about finding a good testing server. If the testing goes well, and people don't screw around, perhaps I could silence those people who think the weapon is terribly unbalanced...

it wouldn't be too hard to do, you just change the projectile to be something that is very close to a m203
