Nice to see we'll no longer get half-blinded by accidently shooting the ground infront of us with our own weapon. Take note of this during the M249 sequence.
Yeah, I was about to comment on this aswell. It appears that the spent shell casings after ejection from the weapon does infact last longer than before. Nice level of detail, it previously never lasted longer than a second.Deadfast wrote:Is it just my or the empty casings despawn time was increased?![]()
Be patient. It's far better to wait and give them the time to work on what's necessary. We wouldn't want anything falling short of expectations, this includes testing the new content thoroughly. The PR community is long overdue for some serious gameplay improvements and bug fixes.JacenSolo wrote:You are the best of the world!!! Very very very nice!! Come on the v0.8!! Quick!!! I really don't think that would be my problem after the upgrade (*cough* 4870 *cough*).[R-CON]Mescaldrav wrote:No, you can just see them on a decent computer heheh![]()
I just did a quick run with the PKM. No way you guys didn't change it.
Right now the casings disappear like 1 seconds after they hit the ground.

They're rolling down the hill into sight instead of off-screen, which probably helps

no no what Jaymz means is the two weapons you switch between are essentially the same gun in your hand, but occupy two slots on the weapon loadout bar, one for bipod deployed, the other without.
I'm sure the damages and recoils are different between the different guns, e.g PKM and SAW

With the maglinking, the "deployed" and "undeployed" weapons share the same magazine supply and loaded magazine. Thus, if you expend half a magazines worth of ammo with one weapon you'll have half a magazines worth of ammo with the other.

Outstanding, I come back after being away for a while to this. Really is quite a treat. Always had a soft spot for the LMGs inside, and to see some added effectiveness and strategy added to them is great.
Guess I've got one more excuse to fire up PR and re-learn the game, the problem with going away for so long
Incidentally I've noticed several of the new animations, and all I can say is absolutely brilliant. The detail is fantastic and I think I may have screamed like a fangirl when I saw the MEC gunner check his sites, or the Chinese gunner check inside the breach during their reloads. Reality indeed
Honestly please tell me your animator lives in the UK, I want to give them a firm handshake and several pints for their outstanding work (and obviously buy the rest of the Dev team a round as well)

Awesome! Never having fired a MG in my life, is the HK21E correct in the way it "comes back" at you when you fire? I would think the bipod would catch the weapon and prevent it from moving towards you.

all LMG push back into to you, the way to use a bipod is to put it out, and then lean into the bipod, so it supports your weight from your shoulder and body, which is preventing the LMG of flying backwardsExpendable Grunt wrote:Awesome!
