correct, there is gravity which if I pointed the effect say 90degs to the left, the gravity value (which is a negative value so the effect rises) would kick in, much like the fire in Karkands buildings that comes out the windows, you see the flame and first bit of smoke coming out at 45degs, but then the smoke goes strait up, but what I would want with wind is the opposite, the effect first coming out strait, then getting caught by the windOutlawz wrote:So basically there is no wind feature that would affect direction of static effects in BF2?
I didn't make the effect, I just looked though the current static effects, found a nice fire effect, hid the flame inside the static, then just had the smoke coming out the top. Thou if you stand as close as you can get to ir and turn your vol right up you can barely just hear a flame, but its worth not making a new effect at this point. when a airplane flies close to it the smoke gets pushed away like wind.

Very sure. But there are not so many smoking things in BF2, so you might not have noticed it. But it does exist, 100%. I dont have time to post a vid or so, but you can just try it. Start BF2, create a LAN server and select a map like Gulf of Oman with air vehicles and smoke. Then fly over the smoke.and are you sure vbf2 had it too Spec_Operator? I cant remember it
