BFH has wind that effects effects but BF2 dose not :p

So basically there is no wind feature that would affect direction of static effects in BF2?

correct, there is gravity which if I pointed the effect say 90degs to the left, the gravity value (which is a negative value so the effect rises) would kick in, much like the fire in Karkands buildings that comes out the windows, you see the flame and first bit of smoke coming out at 45degs, but then the smoke goes strait up, but what I would want with wind is the opposite, the effect first coming out strait, then getting caught by the wind :p

Looks very nice Rhino, how long did it take you to make? I also see a fish in your second screeny of the carrier, was that in there before or a mark that you have e.g. 'Rhino was ere' 2008'?
I didn't make the effect, I just looked though the current static effects, found a nice fire effect, hid the flame inside the static, then just had the smoke coming out the top. Thou if you stand as close as you can get to ir and turn your vol right up you can barely just hear a flame, but its worth not making a new effect at this point. May make a new effect for .85 :p

Well smoke effects can be altered by a object if i'm not wrong FH2 has it too,
when a airplane flies close to it the smoke gets pushed away like wind.

Would be awesome if PR had that, imagine a chopper or jet flying over the oil pumps on kashan desert. Hmmm sweeet 8) .

Vanilla had it.

Afaik, it was acutally taken OUT of PR, because it caused lag problems with all the smoke we have in PR.

Makes sense, low lag's better than blowing smoke. Smoke's fine to me, anything more than now is just for kicks.

Very sure. But there are not so many smoking things in BF2, so you might not have noticed it. But it does exist, 100%. I dont have time to post a vid or so, but you can just try it. Start BF2, create a LAN server and select a map like Gulf of Oman with air vehicles and smoke. Then fly over the smoke.
Is there some kind of old thread of it i would like to read it.
Dunno. I just figured this was what they've done.

ye, but that is very diffrent than a map wind setting, if there was such a thing in BF2, thou there is in BFH, saw it in the init.con when i was scanning though its files :p
