Project Reality Real War League

Hi,
I would just like to let all members/Squads know that we are currently lining up a league for PR which will be aimed at Squads, or groups of players (min 8 players).

General Outline

- Each team has 8 players.

- No more than 1 Supportand 1 Medic in each team.

- Once you are dead you are dead.
- All matches played on 16 player maps.

Ah, competition for the PR Tournament then? :D Though you can't really compare the two... Well, good luck with it Marty. ;)

Indeed plus the actual tourny is much larger... It going to be some tough competition for you marty :D

whoa, only one medic, and only one life?

Thats harsh!

But instead of being made to leave, just make them sit in death, or they can leave if they want?

This sounds very intresting. Looks similar to AA though. May I suggest allowing people to spectate afterward they die?

Yeah i'm all into reality but one life would make it hard to mantian a decent game. With all the people not being allowed to stay playing or else it would make a very short game.

We had a go in training and it was fun. You actually had to retreat and think about positions where your life was safe, and where you could get a better shot on the opposition team. We also found each other using comms more and discussing the next course of action None of this running towards each other diving to the ground rubbish.

Does sound like an interesting concept though. It just takes the fun out of the big maps though. Sneak all the way accross a map for 10 minutes to eat a claymore and sit there for the next 30 minutes waiting for the round to end...

I saw that but still, a good sneak on a small map can still take me 20 minutes.... the bug maps I run part way but the small ones it's all prone..

Its not a direct comp against the current one this is set at a different level, and can run along side the current comp.

The one life as Peter said is good as it gets you to work more as a team, as when u r shot you have 60 seconds to get medded, As I said the rules are still draft atm, so we are open to ideas :-) .

This mod is based on Reality so what better way to use the mod than to have a league were you only have ONE shot at it, instead of getting the n00b squads/players who just run towards the flag and dont think about were the other sides killing field is.

Here are some basic rules/settings we have so far:

Maps played: 1.
Map Size: 16 player.
Time: 60 mins.
Players Per Team: 8.
Amount of Snipers: Unlimited.
Amount of Support: ONE (1).
Amount of Assualt: Unlimited.
Amount of Spec Ops: Unlimited.
NO Commander.
Respawn time: 60 seconds

Thats just a few we have set in stone.

I will keep you up todate with what is going on.

CS is loads of fun and i still play it :)

This tournament does sound interesting, I would like to see how it turns out.

I know that Marty. Besides, they're so dissimilar you can hardly compare the two. Your league will probably draw a different type of player.

I'd be interested to know a little more about who exactly you are, and how you came up with the idea. I'm nosy. :D How much of it have you already organised? I guess I'll take a look at your website first. ;) Oh and you need to fix the link in your first post. You forgot to add [/url]. :D

Hi,
Ok i'll try and answer some of your questions :-)

1. We have only sorted out basic ideas for the league so far. We are still working on fine tuning the rules for the league.

2. In the past I have arranged a few comps here are some examples:

Euro War 1, 2 & 3 (based on Task Force Dagger & Black Hawk Down) between 16 & 12 squads each Comp

Call 2 Power 1 & 2 Based on Black Hawk Down 16 squads both times.

Real War 2 Helped No Skill run this on Joint Operations 14 squads took part.

If you want to help with the running, any help is greatfully recieved. :-)

one basical problem:
Everyone will play the AT class...cause if you shot someone with an AT missile, he`s dead and can not be revived.

Some one else could pick up his kit though. :D

I'd rather play with Vehicles and Airsupport.

I don't like the idea of unlimited snipers. These should be limited to 1 else it could end up as a sniper compitition
