I thought we wanted 128 players per team? And is'nt it 9 squads? So 9x8=72 x2=144. So yeah I think we should ask for 128 not 114. Or better yet! What if we ask them to remove the player limit and let us decide?

The thing I love about battlefield, large player games. If 124 is really possible, and wont screw up my PC (which I doubt, this thing has no problems w/ BF2), I'd love it.

Wouldn't other things have to be adjusted though? Like the number of vehicles and spawn times? If there could be sufficient numbers of transportation, then great, especially for this mod, where most of us are not new to having to walk hundreds of yards at a time because there aren't enough vehicles, they spawn too slow, were destroyed, or don't hold a full squad (ooh....there's another issue, full squad transportation).

Sounds awesome though. I always thought BF maps were too big for the player sizes. Good for varying areas to fight, but a real pain to prevent a really patient enemy from just flanking the whole thing. (Black Hawk Down was worse, people would take an hour march just to snipe spawns from the rear...)

Yes it can. It was originally designed to support 128 players, but they cut it down to 64.

Btw whats the reason for having player limits being 16, 32, 64, 128 ? why not numbers like 74, 98 ? Many games uses those standard numbers but why excactly ?

this would be epic. 114 players on one pr map. it would make the game 500% better.

It's because of the binary logic I guess. You know the base is 2 and you just calculate as follow.

2^0 = 1
2^1 = 2
2^2 = 4
2^3 = 8
2^4 = 16
2^5 = 32
2^6 = 64
2^7 = 128

and so on.
