Insurgents spawn
The Issue
Now insurgents can only spawn at palace, mosque or hideouts a lot of the "insurgents" feel has been lost in an effort to try to over organise them like a conventional army.
Hideouts are nice but one would expect if an insurgent army were to create a hideout where they'll live theyd put some ammo down there for themselves
Very often insurgents are just normal men who live in their house and one day decide to pick up their weapon and fight of course theyre also organised factions such as the taliban to which these normal men will attach themselves to
there's a train of thought in the middle east that a man isnt a man without his AK so pretty much everyone has one
The suggestions
Bring back a few of the "in house" spawns perhaps even making them randomly appear around the map and dissappear after 2-3 spawns on them
Have a supply of ammo on the hideouts so the Caches arent the only place where you can rearm the RPGs and so forth
PERHAPS every 30-40 mins have a bomb car spawn next to the hideout
The Result
Insurgents will come at you from houses more often, giving a reason (again) to keep your eyes on the windows, after all it's "his" house and he's going to defend it from any army who comes past trying to "terrorize" him. Or maybe the cracks of gunfire have awoken him from his sleep? So an insurgent spawns in the house after "waking up" has an AK-47 and is tired and pissed off.
There's a number of reasons as to how/why someone would come out of their house screaming at you with an AK
Building a hideout would bring more benefits than just another spawn, from which an organised squad will now be able able to operate from, spawn at and rearm from.
Also simulating and showing how an organised faction would stash "some" ammo at their base of operation not JUST their main ammo caches.
And also showing how there might be a crazy bearded muslim man called Bazrahir with wacky looking hair and lil glasses fixing bombs inside lil Red renault 5's

Re: Insurgents spawn
Just make those house spawns deactivate themselves as long as someone is very close to the house. Otherwise, you could spawn right in front of the gun of someone.
Good idea.

I agree, insurgency has lost something; I can't put my finger on it, but it does feel like these changes might make it return to the 'allah allah' days of yore. That, or just drop the insurgent spawn back to 15 seconds to simulate their sheer numbers, and we've got a game!

Re: Insurgents spawn
The spawn limitaion on INS maps have defently put some hurt on the gameplay. The only map that seems like it was given some thought where to place the spawns is Korangal valley.

Re: Insurgents spawn
let it be known that it isnt just about making insurgnets uber again
it's about the fact that in insurgency warfare you aren't exactly fighting a clearly defined army, you're more oft than not fighting against a whole city, all innocents have fled to refugee camps so all is left are the crazys with the guns and they're everywhere

Re: Insurgents spawn
I agree, and think also that insurgents should have always a 20 second spawn time unless suicide and such, to simulate much higher numbers and less fear in dying.
"Today's forecast calls for 30mm HE rain with a slight chance of hellfires"
"oh, they're fire and forget all right...they're fired then they forget where the target is"

Re: Insurgents spawn
Not to much agreeing with that, however, maybe 25 seconds and increasing? Rather than 30 and increasing? Remember despite the population living there, some people in Afghanistan and Iraq actually want the wars to just end so they can get on with their lives.
