People have also become dependant on the health bar. It dissapears after 10-15 seconds, and I will rarely be revived after that (by a nooby at least). I think it would make people check the area for threats before going out to revive someone if there was the possibility that they were dead. Dead person=no points for point whores!
Maybe if this causes too much lag, at least leave the dead body until the person that died respawns. If someone gets shot out of a gun turret, then the body would stay for 30 seconds (depending on server). Less dead bodies and therefor lag this way while still retaining a bit of realism and challenge for medics.
I also think that if there is a critically wounded soldier on the ground that gets riddled with Ak101 rounds after he goes down, then he should die. Each playber should, after he goes down, have aseperate "health value". this value couldnt be seen but basicly when you go down you have 100% or 25 seconds. If you are shot a few times, that 100% would drop to 0, killing you before the timer went out. so basicly, you would have your regular health, then you would have your "man down" health. Man down health can got to zero if the person dies in vehicle (already happens), counter goes to zero (again, already happens), extreme traumatic death (eg- headshot, tank shell to the torso, falling too far, bombs from the air, etc), and if the wounded soldier is hit enough times after going down.
Sorry this is long and gets a bit off topic, tahnks for making it this far if you read it
