There are doors in the tunnel of OGT, are there not?icehollow wrote:Oh fuck speaking of breaching charges, it'd be sick if we could get those modelled ingame, sadly won't happen though as the BF2 engine can't handle doors etc like that.

not only there.
I'd love more dangerous bangs. Maybe even damage when you a really really close, and a complete white-out. The flashbangs right now are more effective outside on large areas than they are in a building, which seems just totaly wrong. Just a really white screen for a few seconds before the normal bang effect starts, and i'd be happy.
About the indoor/outdoor stuff: What if, before the normal effect starts, the bang turns dark colors into light colors, and light colors into dark colors. So it would be more effective indoors, since now the dark walls are like the bright sky and the sky like the walls... Just an idea.

Re: Flashbangs
Well, they were rather useless
Officers and Grenadiers had them too, btw.
They could return on Insurgency maps though. There I'd imagine them to be realistic. But a new effect is badly needed in that case.

I find the flash-bang effect in COD4 to be quite useful... maybe if it could be like that in some way it would be worth bringing them back.

If you REALLY want it back, why not give it the black and white effect of critical state we already have in-game? Your blinded, but not completely lost in a snow storm (if you catch my drift :wink

If I played Special Forces Expansion Pack I used them a lot, because they were very effective. They made your screen go white for 10 sec or so. They were vital for clearing the rooms, if you didnt know what to expect.

Re: Flashbangs
Hahahah, next time you revive a 10 month old thread expect whatever was been discussed to be either impossible, was in game but removed, or already being done
Flashes were removed cos they aren't used very much by line forces, apart from in a few rare circumstances in urban situations, other then that they're pretty much an SF thing. That's what I remember being said by the military advisor guys anyway.
Nice on for searching though man, and not starting a new thread.
