Xmas Fast Ropes
If Father Christmas can use fast ropes why can't we?

He's attached to a winch, not fastropes. Notice the lack of leetness and hands on the rope.

Im pretty sure that the community including myself are dying for adding Fast-Ropes into PR !
since the Dev-Team tried their best into adding that but apparently we cant since we always get the same response , i ask everyone of you to add to his Santa Wish List that we need those Fast Ropes as soon as possible !
Merry Christmas everybody !

You can have fast ropes in BF2. You drop a PCO, from the vehicles, everyone switches seats to it, while an animation of guys sliding down ropes plays or a projectile that looks like a guy sliding down a rope is launched. It's so simple! There are also slowropes where you toss a grappling hook off the helicopter.

Re: Xmas Fast Ropes
sounds great, honestly it does. Get a beta of it up so we can see? (no offence, I would actually like to see it, it would be unnecessary with current PR maps...but it would be cool and could have uses in areas where pilots often overturn their aircraft)Solid Knight wrote:You can have fast ropes in BF2. and we all know why the slowrope is ****
and anyway, Santa is a L337 S3COps who could beat Rambo with a single swing of his beard; that is why he deserves fastropz and we do not.

often it means that its part of the program that EA legally prevents people from modifyingmp5punk wrote:what does hardcoded mean? its just impossbile to uncode?
other times its just something the engine cannot realistically do
there have been instances were hardcoded was used incorrectly, but I put that down to the DEV's increasing skill and knowledge at they work with teh BF2 engine realising that they could do somethings they thought they couldn't or found workarounds.

Well, it's not exactly a good idea for mods to be changing your .exe and distributing it for free. It's not only bad for business but illegal to boot.PFunk wrote:That being the most epic phail around.

I'm pretty sure, AND HOPING that EA can give the PR Devs, a little break, and allow them to do AT LEAST 1 change in the .exes(Fastropes) and I'm pretty sure also, that the PR Devs are smarter than the Devs of VBF2

Re: Xmas Fast Ropes
What and you think the DEV's would use that 1 Change for fastropes
?? i mean come on .. they could do wonders with just being able to have non-linear dynamics in it . . =P imagine the deviation changes.. or the amount of run-restore rate .. I can think of countless things

Santa is in the SSS (Special Santa Service). He prefers to be stealthy, and has not allowed PR to nick his fastropes.
