So...do we really need the animation when you go from deployed to undeployed? I dont know how the code works, Is that there so you cant shoot lazers while standing? I dont know...but it seems like a pain EVERY time ou switch back and fourth.
I know as a former SAW gunner in the US Army...it NEVER took me that long to throw the legs back when I got up to move...

Re: SAW animation
the game understands the SAW as 2 weapons that have their ammo level linked together
so it thinks that when you get the SAW out, its like getting another gun out so the animation is the same everytime, it can't understand that its the same gun afaik.
Edit, welcome to the forums, great to see servicemen here to keep the mod realistic

Re: SAW animation
Welcome, The time to switch between the mods on the saw promotes slower gameplay. Even if its slightly unrealistic. Like Rudd said its nice to see servicemen here. You'll find there's a wealth of military knowledge spread through the community.

Re: SAW animation
So you have used the saw, Tell me how accurate is it firing from a standing position firing in bursts? Or is that a no go completely. I ask because its pretty much impossible in game considering the gun shoots up in the air if your standing up.

Re: SAW animation
Thanks for your input, if we had more flexibility with the animation system then we'd by all means have a different, more simplistic system.

Re: SAW animation
if u used the undeployed saw, fullauto is nearly impossible, but if you make 2-rounds bursts, then its as accurate as every other weapon.nick20404 wrote:So you have used the saw, Tell me how accurate is it firing from a standing position firing in bursts? Re: SAW animation
i think undeployed mode is for close quarter combats only. and its never a good idea to shoot from standing position. i ones killed alot of insurgents in close quarter combats with the SAW and offcourse of crouched position. but i do liked the old fashion accurate shooting of the LMG's in older PR versionsZoddom wrote:if u used the undeployed saw, fullauto is nearly impossible, but if you make 2-rounds bursts, then its as accurate as every other weapon.

Re: SAW animation
is it possible by using the semi/full auto switch button on rifles, but on AR switches undeployed to deployed (vice versa). Saves a weapon slot too.
