personal I would prefer to see 2 transport helicopters, there's enough elite flying maps for pilots. keep the concentration on troop based.

if theres one chopper, then it will still be troop based.... remove a tank and apc to not be to over powered, the trees and terrain will make it easy to hide as well .

Lolwut?

I count 4 maps with attack helis on out of over 20, 1 of those with completely symmetrical balance.

There is always the possibility of variation in layers you know...

Haha I remember getting a bit drunk and raving on TS to an unforutante member of T&T about how it would be SO COOL to have a wooded Militia map where the upon cap of say, the third CP in line to the Milita base, a large triggerable lift comes up with a rusting Hind at Militian main for them to blow the Russians away with. "We were hiding it all along!" or something. It was really exciting in my head, I even made sound effects.

Kozelsk would be perfect for russian helos

sa7s in the trees, big map, :D

FUN FUN

Alex is right, Layers. Just take away a tank or both and put a chopper instead, maybe even two :D put AA BRDM on militia side. simple.

Chopper on Messita, it would be really hard to identify targets, also the tree line is really to heavy for a attack helicopter, and there aren't any LZ's for a transport helicopter.

Really guys? I was playing that map in three different servers, and everytime it went on, everybody started asking the admin to change the map. Not making this up, lol. Hey, i mean its ok, its not my favorite, but iv played two interesting rounds as chechnians, cuz everybody runs to the russian side.

Problem is that on chechnians, the SLs are not thinking at all. Its always me and some other brave squad leader keeping the first flag defended against 2 tanks, and incoming APCs, im just tired of doing that. But thats offtopic.

Still, dunno if its such a hot topic for a hind there.

Ahh didn't know about it :) so i guess it would be just a matter of re-texturing and maybe coding

:shocked :? there is 4 maps with attack helicopters. 2 of them asymmetrical and 2 other filled with at least 6 AA's.
Out of 20 maps there is barley 4 "elite flying maps" where you cannot provide proper CAS or have a dog fight because of different reasons.

"Taking boots off the ground" isn't a bad thing. If people like inf more they will do inf(you will get plenty of those).

Why infantry based? infantry isn't the only weapon in the war? They need support from Attack helicopters , tanks , arty etc. In most of the conflicts there was at least CAS. We are talking "reality" here. Every commander would send support to the battlefield to keep the soldiers on the ground a life. "Taking some boots off the ground" means "supporting the boots on the ground".

I feel the same. Attack helicopters that is. If the jungle is too dense like in ghost train u aint going nowhere with airtransport and not fastropes.

It's not cool for the infantry. We'll get nowhere in the vehicles.

You mean if your team doesn´t use air defenses wisely?

Thats the beauty, teamwork on both sides rather than just spam on one side.
