There was a US solider in Iraq that had a nade land 2 feet behind him and he wasn't even seriously injured. You guys are forgetting the soliders in pr are wearing body armor.

you realise that you cant base something off one incident ?
but saying that, there is a series called "shootout" which recalled a US soldier taking like 3 frags and living.

we got some proper figures though rather than opinions ? i just did a little test and it seems at 5m you bleed out in 20/30 seconds. so seems they could do with a buff but not much . 3mish was near insta kill
its the internet.... you should get used to sourcing/backing up every comment you make.Incomplete Spork wrote:Somewhere on youtube. Do you panzys all ways have to assume everything is wrong?

Re: Grenades Need More Power
make them realistic but limit them for everyone I mean seriously like one grenade and maybe even none on some kits because it just leads to spam, Its still nade spam in all town and villages on any map.

Very true. The Grenadier is useless since 0.85 :/Tirak wrote:Okay, bump for the topic. Grenades need more splash and more power, especially grenades fired from a grenade launcher.

Re: Grenades Need More Power
What is the effective range of a grenade irl ? I think I read somewhere 15m. Hand grenade - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Isnt that the effective range of a nade ingame ? A soldier isnt necessisly wounded to the point that he is out of action after a grenade blast, so hurting at the limit of the effective range and taking him down critically wounded at full health if the nade lands within 5m seems reasonable.
I do not see nadespamming as a problem. That is how you are supposed to use nades irl. 2 man cover while the squadleader orders to pull out nades and get rid of them.
And as people said, if a nade goes off it does not critically wound you unless it is right next to you, you just get hit by some shrapnel, so to make them effective you have 2 squadmembers tossing their 6 nades at the enemy or so. That is how to make nades effective.
I do not get this thread sometimes. On one side somone complains about grenades being overpowered and on the other side the same person complains about nades being too deadly because too many come his way. Which one is it now o.O ?
Soldiers carry enough grenades because they are not that deadly. Bottom line less complaining about nade spamming and less demands for smart bombs.

Lol Waaah_Wah banned, lol WTH xDWaaah_Wah wrote:Grenades in 0.75 are really useless... It was enough with decreasing the throw distance, and adding deviation to the throws. But the decrease of blast radius is overkill IMO
Back to topic = I once thrown a granade into the the big bunker from the upper entrance to the by the first empty room, there was an enemy so thats why ive thrown it, he was prone by a wall and around 5m away from my nade, the nade goes off i rush in and bang im dead and after that i was WTF ?!?
So yeah nades are like incinedary granades or like offensive ones, i was really unhappy

Well the radius should be realistic. 5m critically wounded and 5-15 you take damage.

nnnnnnn-necro thread.
grenades are fine, if anything they will increase it by a little, other then that they are rather good now.

I have a hard time using this kit to anything useful too. I just rather have the regular grenades since they can be used in close quarters. Is there some kind of secret trick to being useful with this kit?TheParadoX wrote:Very true. The Grenadier is useless since 0.85 :/

It can be useful in scope wars, or when you know there's an enemy behind THAT tree but have no line of sight. You need to be stationary for a moment for a proper aim so it still requires some cover fire.TheLean wrote:I have a hard time using this kit to anything useful too. The smoke grenades are even more useful than the regular ones in my opinion, if there's a sniper on some rooftop you can rather easily smoke his position and take him out of action for a few minutes - without having to expose yourself too much. In general it's far superior to regular smoke grenades for preventing entrenched enemies from engaging you while you approach their position.
