May I ask why accurate MilDot reticles and rangecards have slipped through the otherwize tight net of military accuracy in this game?
If I had the software and the know-how, I'd get right on the creation of a ghillie suit that actually works in the game, and a proper scope/reticle for the sniper rifles.
(maybe a system that determines what color on the suit, based on the map type? green/black suit in dessert, like it is now, is just fail.)
If i could dictate how it should be, I'd say:
3.5-10x zoom with MilDot reticle, no laser rangefinder (but a datacard with info on how many Mil's different targets filled at different ranges), and a simmilar function as the map, only with ballistics data (bullet drop at different ranges and Mil hold overs and mil lead for running targets).
In real life, a laser rangefinder can be observed with NOD's, and is considered a high risk when used against a well equipped enemy, especially at night.
This idea would allso bring more realism and need for actual skill and planning, wich is the essence of sniping.
Allso, the option to use tracers would be nice..
And (I just don't run out of ideas
A bodyshot at 800m on a insurgent without BA should be fatal, just ask Sgt. Gilliland, he killed an enemy at 1250m with a 7.62x51 rifle.
Any thoughts?
