Does anyone here think we should have at least one building map, ie. something like a Casino taken by insurgents/militia in Rainbow Six Vegas. A multifloor complex like that would lead to some pretty cool and wicked firefights.
Edit: By building I mean Infrastructure-like.

I would just bomb the **** out of that building instead of sending troops inside.

Re: Building Maps
a kill house type map would be fine for 10-16 players, but without leaning etc it would be very stressful
those kind of maps are best left to COD4 etc

Who wants the HAT kit?!?! lol
afaik, buildings are tricky to model, and they need to be custom so that takes a lot of work. I really don't think the BF2 engine handles close quarters well, and I think PR is best left to exterior environments. It would be different to see such a thing though.

Re: Building Maps
Maybe a very small map, let's say, 512x1.
Put the Jabal Al Burj dam, lots of factory buildings and industrial stuff. Then you're set.
You could also make something like Airport... that map was fun too.
16p maps are rather easy to make, you can put a lot of detail into them and not think about vehicles too much.

that's got everything you need to know on making maps.
for making new buildings / staticobjects that goes into modelling.

Re: Building Maps
Well, perhaps a complex or a small area of enclosed buildings would work. It would be good for Skirmish mode and perhaps you would have to secure an enemy leader, save hostages, or blow something up. It could have a couple of new kit layouts, with shot guns and LMGs for clearing buildings. This could be the game mode people were talking about where Special Forces could be used.
