What percent of PR PunkBuster kicks impact the innocent?

Uninstalling PR is not going to do anything, If you guys are having PB problems delete your PB folder and download it again and reinstall simple as that. If you are having handshaking failures there is something wrong with your connection or firewall. I rarely ever get kicked for anything PB related and removing it in favor of admins would be the stupidest idea ever, admins can't see when people have hacks on like PB can and 50% of the time there isn't an admin on a server.

How can you say it wont do anything when it cleaarly helped me. And only deleting the PB folder wont help.

I have (again) stopped playing PR because of PB. In order to fix my PB issues previously, I uninstalled ALL of my BF2 mods and BF2 itself and then just reinstalled BF2 and PR - this worked for maybe 20 hours of game play. Now, again, I get kicked by PB EVERY TIME unless I do the following:

In order to play PR I need to:

1) Unplug my router
2) Unplug my modem
3) Connect my PC directly to modem (no router)
4) Plug my modem back in
5) Reboot my PC

Then to get my network back to normal status I need to:

1) Unplug my modem
2) Reattach all cables between modem and router
3) Plug modem in
4) Plug router in
5) Do a hard reboot of modem
6) Do a hard reboot of router
7) Do a software reboot of router
8. Reboot all PCs on network


It's only very rarely that I am in in the mood to do all this just to play PR.

PB is sh*t and I totally advocate it's removal. There are not enough people playing PR to warrant its use. Hackers are easily recognizable and any well admin'd server could deal with them.

That's my opinion and it makes me sad.

Looking forward to new PR engine - until then it will be a rare occasion that I play PR anymore.

dude i use a belkin router and i had a lot of the simialr issues. all i had too do, was before i start pr was shut off the belkin firewall (router). since then i have never had a hitch.
