Cheers Dr Rank.

Unfortunately at present I can't voip as I'm a night shift taxi driver, and I have a wife and three kids sleeping when I come home at 4AM, the talking wakes her up, but strangely the TV dosn't.

However, I do get a couple of hours in the afternoon to play the game. The problem with my gaming time 4AM & 2-4PM is that that's when there's not many folk playing due to school/work etc.

I'll put claim on the PC this Sunday and have a marathon sesh on PR.

What times do you play Dr?

Nps. Well your early hours coinside with US times so you should find some good servers running then. Not having VOIP does make it a lot harder get teamwork going, but its not impossible. Sunday would be good time to get into it, make sure you get into a good server.

I don't play that much atm because of PR mapping commitments, Sangin takes up most of my free hours. I'm on holiday from work this week hence why I'm about during the day this week. I sometimes play on Friday nights, Saturdays and Sundays, occasionally on week nights too, but usually only til about 11/12pm. If we're (RGG - the lads I usually play with) playing on Sunday I'll give you a yell and you can join us if you like. You should also sign up for the community battle if you haven't already as this one should be a great fight, infantry focused too:

Not sure if they're still spaces but put yourself down anyways.

If you look, there's millions of boring games where all you do is gun, die, spawn, gun, die. Boring as hell.

I know there is. I like the physics of this game though, and an infantry only map to practice weapon handling would've been helpful.

Dr Rank, thanks again. The US servers tend to give high pings, what do you reckon is playable-tops? I try to avoid anything giving a 120 ping or above.

Well I often play on servers with 150 pings and its actually not that bad, you're probably putting yourself at a slight disadvantage on those servers against players with better pings, but I don't get any d-sync so its definately playable.

Wow... Apparently people can't behave ...
Would you people, of all, stop being arses with the guy? It's not like he's pooping in the holy grail you know.. :|

Of course it's a bit gamey, but the ''training'' aspect of it is interesting and could be explored. Maybe implement Training Mode on a few 16p infantry maps? It's not much TBH, and it's good for those that want to hone their CQB skills rather than motorized ones.

And you know, a sort of ''TDM'' could be a good stress reliever for those in need of quick rounds but with PR physics. It's not wrong to want something like that, and I personally like the idea of a simple TDM mode for those moments where you just want to have some ''simple'' yet relieving fun. And nothing tells you it will be 'nilla spam fests either, that's determined by the players, not the game mode. ;)

Not to blow the proverbial horn of SP, but if you want a good fun of just killing lots of stuff and getting used to weapons and aimless killing, SP can help a lot with that, I feel it is a very good and fun addition and is exactly what you describe, simple yet PResque gaming.

gotta second the SP mod. you can mindlessly kill everything that moves all you want.

also, just try joining a skirmish mode server. sure, you gotta not shoot the blue and green guys, but you can shoot everything else. and its all infantry. i personally need vehicles to have fun, but skirmish is pretty close to deathmatch.
