PR release as "raw" mod
This request seems as though it should be fairly simple; I'd like the option to download PR as a *just* a folder that is copy-pasted into the BF2 directory. Before you ask, I do have a reason: I'd like to see if I could get PR working with Jonesoft Generic Mod Enabler (JoneSoft Products - Generic Mod Enabler), a cool program that allows mods to be temporary when the actual game isn't as modular as it could be.
This seems like it would be easy enough to do, but feel free to tell me why I'm wrong.

Re: PR release as "raw" mod
There is one folder. Its under the mod folder and its named "pr". Once both things are installed just copy that folder. The auto installer installs it all to one folder anyway. It contains all of the contents of the mod. I have no idea what you were talking about, so this answer might not be helpful.

You should be able to just have the 'pr' mod folder under bf2's mod folder. I don't see much of a problem there, except maybe a shortcut for PR.

Re: PR release as "raw" mod
Im confused as to why would you want to turn it on or of? BF2 does not take any notice of PR being there. You either launch PR or BF2. You dont mod bf2 itself. You only mess up the control scheme if im correct.Riffraffselbow wrote:This request seems as though it should be fairly simple; I'd like the option to download PR as a *just* a folder that is copy-pasted into the BF2 directory. He wants the mod enabler just like GTA IV has. You can just choose witch mod you want to activate and have more then 1 mod enabled at the same time.

I know, but why? BF2 is not a game where you activate a mod. You can play both nilla and the mod side by side.

As long as you use a different log in with a different account and quit out of certain mods correctly, eg FH2, BF2 mods don't affect vBF2.

A mod enablle/disableler isn't needed. BF2 mods can either be launched from specially made shortcuts, or they can be activated in game.
For the confused: He wants to see if he can use a program to swap mods in and out to use, which isn't needed, because you can already choose what mod you want either ingame, or with a shortcut.

Re: PR release as "raw" mod
I simply wanted to be able to install multiple mods into 1 install; I've never been able to get that to work with PR. I was never able to launch vanilla BF2 with PR installed, either. I guess I was wrong, ignore this thread.

lol, guys guys guys, he isnt worried about being able to switch between them from time to time, he wants multiple mods running AT THE SAME TIME. Not just all installed alongside one another in the separate folders, but literally playing PR, BF2, POE2, etc ALL AT ONCE.Astromici wrote:A mod enablle/disableler isn't needed. But I highly doubt itd work as kits and vehicles are decided by the maps files itself, so no matter what mod combo you had youd have whatever kits and vehicles the map declared. You might get another mods explosion MAYBE, but like I said, as far as I know, the way that the map declares kits, teams, vehicles, and a lot of other things will probably make this not work...
Err...nevermind I guess I have no idea either... You should definitely be able to play BF2 with PR installed. You just cant run more than one Mod at the same time as you can in flashpoint or oblivion or ArmA...I simply wanted to be able to install multiple mods into 1 install; I've never been able to get that to work with PR. And templars, playing on different accounts keeps the control configurations and a few other things from getting messed up, like auto reload and such which I believe will keep getting disabled on you BF2 controls even when playing BF2, because PR has autoreload turned off. Little things like that...

Re: PR release as "raw" mod
you want A SEPERATE server to host the combined core and levels AGAIN, for the specific reason that you are too lasy to switch between programs? there is no real reason why you should have multipal BF2 mods running in the first place. Do you even have enough memory to justify this?
in any case, why did you need it as a seperate download and not just install the core and levels like usual and use the folder that it sets up?
Okita is never really gone, he is a ninja after all
