Of course we can't abuse too much from the re-spawning so that's why we have a punish of a longer time of waiting to respawn in game and get back to the fight. Having a short time of respawn will cause a feeling of imortality in the players and they will act like Rambos.
So, why do we still see a lot of Rambos in game ? And the numbers are increasing. Even old players do something expecting to be killed, like they are used to the 30 seconds. Even me, 30 seconds (or a little more) is normal now to me.
Have you noticied it too ? And what can we do to bring the fear-factor of death back to the game ? Increase the time of waiting ? Or maybe re-work the respawn system ?
Here is an experience I had:
In a special event in the brazilian community, we had matches where the fighting forces were not allowed to use rallypoints. If you could see how players acted in battle !!! Everyone togheter and working to eatch-other to avoid downs all costs. The FEAR was present, every move had to be carefully calculed. The foward-outposts became a very important element in battle.
