Agree with DelaFart. Not to mention that's what Chechnya and Iraq probably will be in one or two years... Will we remove those awesome maps just because of that?

And there is a difference between Vietnam/Korea and the Yugoslav Wars... Fifty years or so.
I like the idea of creating "minimods" linked to PR. With the same gameplay, etc. - but showing different conflicts in the past. A "Project Reality - Fall of Yugoslavia" would be very interesting.

God, I remember watching the news when I was a kid during the 90s. Know this might sound rude, but for me the Yugoslav wars is pure nostalgia. They were the first real wars you got to know. Before that it was only Star Wars and the Gulf War, and to be honest - most of what they showed from the latter looked mostly like a video game. The newsreels from the Balkans showed and talked about even the worst parts of war, not only the "cool action".

Anyway as I said before, if you really want to make this you can count on my help (mostly info...though I have some mapping experience in some games so I might learn to map in BF2). I am pretty much sure there are other ppl willing to help out there

I had models for Degman, VHS and BOV AA... And scrapped all that to hell since I didn't any more nerves to work on it...

Hi there...
i am surprised that there are no scenarios from Yugoslav wars
There are many great battles that were fought in Croatia...
For instance, "Battle of Vukovar", "Battle for Dalmatia", "Siege of Dubrovnik","Operation Storm","Operation Summer 95"..

This battle could be perfectly recreated in BF2, because this was the type of war we fought.
Squads of 6-10 men guarding strategic positions in a city (a road or an object) with light and heavy AT weapons, with few machine gunners a sniper and a medic, expecting the Yugoslav army to walk with their tanks and armor into our traps

The battle of Vukovar is the biggest and most fascinating, here are some videos to see how this looked like:

4 new factions (but just 2 nations, that means only 2 voicepacks= serbian, croatian)

JNA "Jugoslavenska Narodna Armija"(Yugoslav Peoples Army) - Serbian elite army
ZNG"Zbor Narodne Garde" (Croatian National Guard) - croatian militia
HV "Hrvatska Vojska" - Croatian elite army
VSK "Vojska Srpske Krajine" (Army of Serbian Krajina) - serbian paramilitaries

well... there are not much people interested... and i cant build this by my own...i think this does not have a bright future... if i only knew the people which made the yugoslav wars mod for BF1942 and BF: Vietnam... i wuld work with them on this project, but it seems like there is no one but me

but yeah agreed with 162eRI. Make it rather a modern faction (hey we still use the "Zolja" AFAIK so it wont go down the drain) and maybe even 2 factions (Serbia too) and pit em ina a war. IIRC Rhino has said it doesnt have to be a completely real story (and we all know that Serbia aint gonna join NATO so theres our shot). I'm pretty much sure there are some serbs willing to cooperate

I had an enlightenment... Lets make modern Croatia and Serbia, and put them at War. The battles would be from our border, so fictionally:"2nd battle of Vukovar", "Siege of Osijek", "Drive towards Zagreb" etc.
What do you think of that. Because our army just got the new uniforms, they look almost like the American uniforms. We just need to re-skin them, add a few new weapons... etc... but the biggest problem will be the maps. they need to be build from scratch. Even add the "VHS" rifle.
