It goes without saying that Military men train extensively on being Situational Aware even in the heat of combat to avoid being Flanked, Friendly fire etc.
You cannot simulate everything(focusing of the eye, for example) on a flat screen for infantry, in BF2 engine; you cannot even turn head independently from the weapon in BF2. (Arma2 obviously has a better engine and it works)
All ironsighted weapons have now is lack of focus(because obviously if you are aiming down the sight, your eyes are not going to be focused on the rear sight; it is not blurry at all in BF2).
