[Video] RPG Blind Fire

Post by Onil »

AAVP Hunt in Fallujah:

Having a good sound setup is a major advantage when it comes to situational awareness. But sometimes it can go beyond that. In this case, I located the target via sound until it stopped and the driver got out. Besides that, quite a bit of luck. This was the second shot, as the first one went too high. I didn't knew I had hit the APC but I noticed he was smoking when he drove back towards my location.

P.S: Sorry for the out of sync in the end. It seems that the change on BR file view speed sometimes screws the sync in the recording.

Enjoy

Then again, Onil can hear a jeep starting up in the enemy main on a 4km map while he is in his own main.

Very nice shooting with the RPG.

Tracked vehicles are great targets, simply because of the amount of noise they make.

Nice one :D

When it comes from Onil I highly doubt its hax. In fact Agemman is joking. You told me once how sound is important in PRT bootcamp. Sadly I haven't got decent sound card and headphones yet, but I will for sure.

An AAV should be down after one shot in the rear in my opinion :/

Reminds me of America's Army and this Altec Lansing headset I had that with the combo of my SoundBlaster Live! soundcard I could hear people reloading and moving whilst prone. Quite amazing difference it made. Probably got about 5 times more kills because I could jump out and shoot people when they were reloading.

On topic: Nice shot man!

Get out, that's ridiculous. Not so much being able to locate the exact bearing of an APC because of the way you've fiddled the FL/C/FR distribution (hmm.. Let's guess that the centre channel only is responsible for 1 degree of space in front, that'd be useful.. Hmm..) , more the fact that the RPG was actually accurate from beyond max view distance.

Not cheating, that's not what i'm saying.

Well, it still drops... but as withing view distance you correct the drop when firing. The first one I fired (not on the vid) went too high so I corrected this one and it dropped exactly to the right spot.
