Aircraft munitions
Earlier today I took the seat of the F16 for the first time, I noticed that it has two types of missiles. What's the difference between them?

Yep one is long range AA and the other is short range.
Always wondered why you didn't carry more long range.

AIM-120 AMRAAMs (AA-12 "Adder" on the MiG 29) are "long range" they have a range of 1200m, iirc, which is beyond visual range (BVR) AIM-9 Sidewinders (AA-11 "Archer" on the MiG 29) are "short range" and have a range of about 250m.Fifty wrote:Earlier today I took the seat of the F16 for the first time, I noticed that it has two types of missiles. However, niether of them work properly right now, but improvements are coming.
The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.
