Disabling transport vehicles

Post by pasfreak »

vodniks, humvees, and any other vehicle with rubber tires (tyres)

if we shoot the tires, the thing should go slower and maybe sink into the ground or something.

Engine does not support it. It's in the ASST.

You sure about that? I'd have thought that if a tank's turret can be damaged by localised fire then the movement could be...

I think, every military vehicle has run-flat tires, and having tires to pop is possible in BF2 and this has already been discussed and got locked.

PR's damage system is not localized. It's random, based on the current damage of the vehicle.

We have a simulation of "flat tires" in the jeeps. If it's damaged enough and the system randomly chooses the option, you will get that result.

I thought this was a bug! Only seen it on Vodniks me thinks, and even though they're harder to stear it doesn't seem their actually damaged...

Ah ok then, I just assumed it was localised since the only time i've knocked out a Warrior's turret was just after I'd hit the turret with an RPG...happy coincidence then :)
