Disarming c4 when engineer/specops/[insertkithere?]
If the kits could take out their knife, like cutting a wire, and knife the c4 to defuse it and render it unusable. I searched for c4 defuse, and defuse c4 knife, and other varients. Is this possible?

your probably one of those guys that would rather pick up a granade and atempt to throw it back than running for cover!?
as for possibility - maybe put a hit box around and there you go
but i still don't like it

yeah like with the mines... pick em back up - wonder why that hasn't been implemented yetSpec_Operator wrote:It would not only be useful to defuse it when an enemy placed it - rather when YOU placed it, and now dont need it anymore, for example because friendlies are in the area - wouldnt you want to defuse it?

lol indeed. That's not rocket science. But regardless, I doubt that it is possible, and even if it is, there are very few infantrymen in real life who would approach an explosive that they just suspect of being live. In PR people would be cutting C4 up left and right, having C4 parties, it would just get out of hand. Unrealistic.

It simulates any activity of an engineer. There are not enough equipment slots for every single item you would need in every situation.Slavak wrote:Ah the crescent wrench. It builds bridges, fixes every vehicle, removes explosives. Is there anything it can't do?
Buuut, thats not the point. The point is, as engineer, once you placed C4, you cant remove it anymore. That means, you either blow it (bad idea when - for example you placed it on a bridge your team now needs) or you get a new engineer kit. Otherwise you are not able to use any C4 anymore. Allowing the engineer class to at least remove their own C4 (as all equipment slots are used, the wrench gotta do it) is not a bad thing, and not unrealistic at all.
Get away from the "there is C4 lets defuse it" stuff. If there is a guy controlling the C4 he would blow it as soon as anyone pulls out a knife. If there is no guy, there is no need to remove it. The PROBLEM is People not being able to remove their C4.

Slot 5: 10 tons of concrete and rebar.Spec_Operator wrote:It simulates any activity of an engineer. There are not enough equipment slots for every single item you would need in every situation.
Slot 6: Large pile of parts for any and all reparable vehicle's.
Slot 7: Defusal kit.
Yeah I can see that being kinda unrealistic for one guy to lug around.
Your right though. You should be able to remove C4, even if it gives enemy engy's a slim chance to defuse C4 traps and such.

Your right. Can shoot, stab, beat, or burn (within reason) C4 and It wont explode.Spec_Operator wrote:As far as i know (i'm not an expert but i think to remember it), C4 can not be blown by shooting at it as it needs a special detonator. I could be wrong, bu i think i was reading this, and that its difficult to blow C4.
