[Help!] Problem with roads

Post by Ragni<RangersPL> »

I've been searching through bf2editor forums and I know it was posted numerous times before but I couldn't find any satisfactory solution (maybe I missed something, there was so many posts about it...), so maybe some of you could help me.

I try to put some roads on my map. I'm following (exactly) this tutorial Roads - Detailed Explanation - Official BF Editor Forums and everything looks fine in the bf2editor (I can see my road applied to my map)... but when I run my map in game, there is no road on the map (I can't see my road where it should be).
The funniest thing is when I walk over my road I can hear different footsteps sound. I can hear it's not dirt anymore, it sounds like tarmac but there is no road under my feet.

Please help.

Thanks.

did you pack your map files before testing?

Also you will need to resave your complied colourmap textures.

No, I didn't.

OK. I'll try this out.

EDIT: Resaving compiled colourmap textures worked, everything is fine now.

Thanks a lot Rhino!

Map misplaced, no spawnpoints visible

Post by Ragni<RangersPL> »

I didn't wanted to make a new tread so I decided to revive this one.
I've got another problem. It looks like my map on the spawn screen moved down the screen, and I can't select any spawn points.

It happened to me once before with other map but I didn't bothered about this because I've had a backup, but now I don't have any backup since this is only my test map.
I could just delete this and make a new test map but It would be nice to fix this problem and continue my tests on this one

Thanks for any help.

Oooo, I never had that problem on my own maps but I have had it on Karkand (!!!), I got no idea how to fix it though so good luck and hopefully some knowledgeable person will reply and be more useful than me

My combat zone looks quite normal.

It looks like I need to make a new test map. I tried to fix it with some drastic methods and now my map is messed up really bad :? ??:

If anyone had the same problem and/or knows how to fix it then please post it... but it's not an emergency situation anymore.

Thanks for the tips.

Looks 'WTH is wrong with you?'

Is this normal?

To see it normal from a distance and weird like that in a closer look?

ingame the road will snap to the terrain. You can click on the right side a button called "build final roads" to get it to snap to the terrain like it will ingame.
