new artillery pieces

Post by Conman51 »

this was inspired by the other m109 thread...but a different idea

this isn't really a game play change just another way to get rid of bf2 models and make PR more unique

can we get rid of the floating arty pieces on some maps and put them on the field but for like America give them the m109..it will be a static though..maybe you can put them out of bounds too just actually on solid ground near the main

its all just statics but for MEC give them what ever seems appropriate

and same for PLA if they have mobile arty units...maybe this can be done with mortars too...just to get a bit more accuracy in PR

The reason you see floating artillery is that the way we hack our code around the bf2 limitations. Without spilling the beans (I'll let rhino do that) we cant have the statics on the field. A complete removal of the static would work better.

The floating happens because the artillery needs to be at a certain height in order for it to hit correctly. Lame Bf2 bug.

Not an EA problem so much as the way ours works. Point being is we see the visual issue and will try to fix it in the future.

As has been explained, this is a known bug and the suggestion cannot be implimented due to engine limitations.

Locked.
The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.
