Decals
I noticed on bf2 there aren't any decals besides the blood you guys put in think you guys could make decals like bullet holes and blood stains and blood wounds on the corpses and keep the corpses on the map
Some people wonder if they have made a difference in this world. Marines don't have that problem

do you mean on just the bodies? or do you mean everywhere? because there are bullet holes in whatever you shoot. and i dont think anyone wants bodies laying around the battlefield, lag.
but i think blood wounds and stains on soldiers clothes would be awsome!

Hehe, I had tried this for XWW2 and it did not work for me, I think Perhaps the collision mesh isn't directly on the player model or what, or if it just doesn't register it as creating a decal but I believe it's just a wreck model with ragdoll physics. Afterall, in BF2 the soldiers are actually vehicles too. It may be possible but with my extensive tests it did not seem to work for me.
Edit* I also had the idea to make the blood particle effect hit an object or something and create a decal on that surface, like blood spatter, but I never really got around to figuring out exactly how to do it.

lol soldiers are vehicles? and what about terrain damage? like a hole on the ground or blown up building when a missile hits it or a tree gets on fire when something hits itSgt.
