[Vehicle] SU-39 (SU-25TM)

Hi! I made a model for Russian forces - SU-25TM (or SU-39 for others fractions)
But I use Cinema4D (don't ask why - I'm using it from 1.5 version) and now i really need help with export to GMax or Maya6.
Can anybody take a work with export model to BF2? :wink:

Never heard of Cinema4D but what formats can you save/export to? .obj .3ds etc?

Thats a very nice model. I think the russians need some air assets. This should be a nice new addition to the faction :)

The Russians have plenty of "potential" air assets ingame, just no maps to use them on.

I know someone make map for air.
Cinema4D can export to 3ds, obj and some others (no matter)
But as I tried export to 3ds and obj lost textures mapping((( so I guess we have to remap textures in Gmax or Maya

try changing some of the settings on exporting to .obj and .3ds might help.

Cinema may use a very different UVmap system from Max or Maya meaning it would have to be reUVed.

@Rhino I can understand everybody using C4D over 3dsMax for the modeling, its ways easyer to use

Well, I know Marcoelnk is working on a 4x4km map with Russia vs Germany (take a look at German Forces design plan).
And trust me, it will be an interesting map... :mrgreen:

I`ve got same problem with my Ka-50 Hokum by the time i was exporting it from Maya 2008 to Maya 6.0.
Here is the tool wich will help you to claim your uv textures to your model in a good way .
Try to use one of these tools .Just export your model to OBJ. then import your file in one of the tool, and play around with options,in the end you must save this model as OBJ. file and overwrite the old one.
Then just import your model in one of the following software :Maya 6.0 or 3dsmax

well i exported model to Gmax (some troubles with normals). but my bf2gmax failed to run (( anyone who can export from gmax to bf2editor?

post up some renders of the model and the uvs and if you have a good model there will be someone that could do the export

Is the cockpit modeled and textured ?
(I remember that this plane was in work a long time ago in another thread...:smile :)

I have no cockpit at this moment. and I guess we have to use cockpit from SU-25.((
or we have to make video cam like in MI-28 to control missiles...

You will have to model at least some parts of the Su25 cockpit if you want PR to use your model... :razz:

On the ingame Su25 model, the seats are on the main texture, not on the cockpit one as you can see here (I've only applied the cockpit texture):

We can't load ingame your texture + the main Su25a texture + the cockpit texture...would be really bad for performance. ;) .
