Yes, but back in 0.5 nobody asked question like this, now when 0.85 is out, some people are worried that PR will disappear. I think PR community is stronger then ever.

Project Reality v1 is just a number. I wouldn't worry about us abandoning the project because it hit v1.addaco wrote:I think its because we are aprroaching V1

You are wrong.DesmoLocke wrote:No. Xfire doesn't really support mods. Only mods that later became full fledged games are truly supported but I may be wrong. (i.e. Portal) If you use Xfire while playing PR, it will say you are playing BF2. It's the reason I put "Project Reality 0.85"in as a custom status.
And not to mention...
WoW = Millions of players
PR = couple thousand(?)

Ever since I've been in this community people have constantly been asking this question... it comes up at least once a month.... most just ignore it now, or talk about it in the appropriate thread (stickied at the top of this forum)

Re: Project Reality longevity
ye, everyone says PR is going to be killed off by something. A few years ago back in like v0.5, people where saying PR was going to be killed off by DCons release, then a year or so later, everyone said PR was going to be killed off by ArmAs release, and a few months ago everyone was saying PR is going to be killed off by ArmA2s release...[R-DEV]fuzzhead wrote:Wrong

Just for the record, PR has around 2x as many players as ArmA, DCon went down the drain and no one played it for more than a week, and I very much doubt ArmA2 will kill off PR too

Ah, don't forget the Forgotten Hope and Insurgency (HL2mod) releases, some people declared that PR would die in their releases.
