Oh don't worry, I'm going to read it. The problem is many other people won't. So at least if you hide the password in the manual, yes, some will just skim right through it, but others will read at least part of it.'= wrote:H[=ElvishKnight;1254594']No, theyd just skim through it looking for the password. Instead you could just wait for the release and just read the manual anyways. I read it every release.

Releasing the manual early so people can read it while there is a high level of anticipation seems like a very good idea. Heck its hard enough to get people to read the manual as is; why not give it to them when there asking for it.

Ye, right fuzz, that's why the installer is on my computer already since release and seeding...[R-DEV]fuzzhead wrote:Manual is not done yet, thats why its not been posted....
Not done, pah.

Re: Request: v0.9 Manual
The plan was to have the manual in the preload/trailer news post so everybody could read through it before release.
But it didn't get ready in time, so we added a shortcut to a link to it instead of having the PDF in your mods/pr/readme folder.
It's not ideal, but it's what happened.

Re: Request: v0.9 Manual
I just completed the first revision of the manual. If there are no complaints from other devs I might be inclined to "leak" it a bit early.

Re: Request: v0.9 Manual
I have a question, is there a downside to not being deployed when using marksman, because why wouldn't everyone just stay in deployed mode?
Edit: also is insurgent demolisions kit just the sapper kit renamed or it compeltly differnet. Looks like it's different because when reading sidearms it says it's availible to kits w/o primary weapons and insurgent demolision expert was named. So maybe a kit similar to sapper but maybe some stronger equipment like artilery ied, etc. Also not a big deal but there's a typo saying a single player MY place up to... (should be may)
