The USN is considering purchasing a few more Super Hornets to bring up other Hornet squadrons because of a few delays with the Carrier Variant.
WRT F117A:
It was retired a few months back. The F22A can suit its role (a stealth strike aircraft) and perform better in almost every category, including speed, stealth, payload, technology, maneuverability, etc. The B2 will also be able to take over some of the F117's role if neccesary. There are also discussions about the possibility of an FB22 to replace the F15E.
I dont know why you just told me about all the F-18 stuff. I already knew that, i was just saying that the F-18 will be around for awhile in its upgraded format and will not be completely replaced by the F-35 any time soon as you seemed to have suggested before. And you seem to have just agreed with me so im a bit confused on that one...

??:
As for the F-22 i know it
can do the role of the F-117 but as of right now everything points to it being used mainly as a fighter, seeing as the B2(as you pointed out) can do the actual bombing as well as the F-35 which is more tailer made for that job. I mean the Air Force only talks of it in a air defense role.
